B-Table by for .
Designed post-war for newly built compact homes the French B-table is versatile and modern. Launched in 1951, Gascoin's pragmatic dining table is suitable for flexible living spaces.
The B–Table is two tables in one - it comprises an oak or walnut frame on top of four streamlined tapered legs. Lifting up just two sections onto a curved crossbeam underneath and rotating the tabletop causes the other two sections to rise. All four sections slide effortlessly into magnetic locks, securing them in place. This smooth and simple transition means the table can be transformed from one form to the other – and back again in an easy fluid motion. The entire table is expertly crafted from solid and veneered oak or walnut.
The newly reissued table is based on Gascoin’s original drawings with a few minor adjustments, such as a slight increase in the height of the table to reflect modern ergonomics.
